Jon is a native of Henderson County, Kentucky, and a graduate of H.C.H.S.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of St. Thomas in Saint Paul, MN.  Jon is a Fellow of the Henderson Leadership Initiative (2007), a member of the Rotary Club of Henderson and the Men’s Bourbon Society of Henderson.  He is happily married to Becky, and they have two children, Anna and James Henry.

Jon is the former President of SITEX Corporation, a family-owned and led uniform and linen service provider that started in Henderson in 1961 and operated in Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, and Tennessee.  SITEX was acquired by Cintas in 2024.  Before joining SITEX, he taught English in Taichung, Taiwan, and lived and worked in south-central Sweden and the western U.S. (Colorado and Washington).

He serves on the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence, the Advisory Board of the Boys and Girls Club of Henderson, the Henderson Leadership Initiative Board, the Center for Addiction Recovery of Henderson Board, and the Volunteer and Information Center Board.  Past board service includes Henderson County Board of Education, Colonels 2 College, Henderson Area Arts Alliance, Rotary Club, and Sandefur Training Center (now Elevate).

Jon believes that the Community Foundation of Henderson is critical for the long-term financial sustainability of important local initiatives as it provides a vehicle for those who want to give back to our community but may lack direction as to how best to accomplish that.
