
Jennifer Preston
Jennifer is a native of Henderson County and was instrumental in the formation of the Community Foundation of Henderson, developing the organization as part of a Henderson Leadership Initiative and serving as the first board president.
Jennifer currently resides in Florida with her family. She is past Chief Development Officer for the Henderson Community College and continues to maintain a part-time role in the advancement office. Prior to HCC, she served as the Development Director for Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden. She has worked in marketing, communications and community relations in various high-profile positions in both Henderson and Evansville.
She has a Bachelor of Science from USI in 1997 and has completed her Certificate of Fundraising Management from Indiana University School of Philanthropy. She is a graduate of the Leadership Evansville in 2005 and Henderson Leadership Initiative in 2011.
Jennifer is a member of POW! Partnership of Women and served as the second-year chairwoman. She is a past board member of the Henderson Arts Alliance and is a long time active member of the Breakfast Lions Club including serving as its former president. She has served on the boards of WNIN, The Shelter for Women and Children, RiverBend Academy, and regularly volunteers with the Henderson Humane Society.
Jennifer is married to Kent Preston and they have one daughter, Sophia. They are all animal advocates and provide a home to three dogs, hermit crabs and fish. They are members of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
