Over the next 20 years, Hendersonians will likely transfer $1.55 Billion to the next generation. If just 5% or $77.5 million of the Transfer of Wealth opportunity could go into the Community Foundation, a permanent payout of $3.875 million annually could address economic and quality of life priorities in Henderson County. This intergenerational Transfer of Wealth offers an unprecedented opportunity to create a profound legacy.
KPI commissioned a Transfer of Wealth (TOW) study in 2010 which identified a significant wealth transfer. The study was again conducted in 2017 and concluded that Kentuckians will see a generational transfer of wealth in excess of $760 billion over the next 50 years.
This intergenerational Transfer of Wealth offers an unprecedented opportunity to create a profound legacy – if we can count our communities among our heirs. Imagine what just a 5 percent legacy investment could do for the long-term economic development and quality of life of our communities.
Post-Transfer of Wealth Kentucky could truly be the land of opportunity.
